Click the link. You’ll see ground based wasp-12 data. Use it for training yourself. Then use TESScut (Google it) to extract TESS light curves. You can also query AAVSO’s live web based AIJ-based training courses.

Re: astroimagej Error when plotting

Hi Karen,

I've been busy with courseworks, but in between i'm been trying to follow along with the guide, i used dp on the files from the link to calibate the scien images, then used the new ones to plot the profile which comes out nicely, followed by playing the aperture, but its here i get a problem. I try click on the centre star to mark it as the target, but then i get an error about the WCS mode, i've taken a screenshot of both the plot profile and the error, im unsure what i've done wrong. Would it be possible to setup a teams/zoom meeting for 1 hr next week to talk over this? I apologies for all the questions and issues, It shouldn't be this difficult, but I just dont fully understand it.

Thank you,
Brandon

You'll need to either turn off the "Use RA/Dec to locate aperture positions" check box on the Multi-Aperture setup panel. or plate-solve the images first before running photometry. If your tracking and guiding are good, the first option is probably all you need.

Please continue to post your questions here. I unfortunately do not have the bandwidth for one-on-one training sessions. The AAVSO does provide live virtual training sessions from time to time.
