Since you're here, do you mind me asking why the scintillation noise hasn't been added to the error formula? Most of the time the exposure time has to be low to avoid things like saturation and sky background error accumulating, so it ends up being the most important form of error there. I've been taking photometry images with a 50cm (effective) diameter telescope, and the error bars calculated by astroimagej are less than half the size of the scatter. Scintillation is also "easy" to estimate since astroimagej already has all the parameters required: aperture, exposure time, altitude and star coordinates.
