This the error message I just got when I tried to launch the app from the terminal (open -a AstroImageJ.app):

The application /Applications/AstroImageJ.app cannot be opened for an unexpected reason, error=Error Domain=RBSRequestErrorDomain Code=5 "Launch failed."
