New design for aperture, annulus?

Perhaps I am the only one who doesn't know this, but after a few weeks break from observing I noticed that the familiar aperture and annulus design that is shown around stars is gone, and replaced with a simple circle (see attached photo).  Is that by design, or is my software screwing up?
