Hi Steve,
When I got your second report, I tried a plate solve here (on an image that I know should successfully solve) and it failed in the same way you described. As of now, the plate solve is working and has completed three times in a row. Can you try again now and
let me know if it is working again for you too? Either way, can you try the plate solve 5 times to see if it consistently fails or consistently succeeds? Let me know your success/failure rate.
If you are using a PC, I strongly recommend the ANSVR local astrometry server that removes the dependence on nova.astrometry.net (and can work much faster if tuned properly for you images). Unfortunately it only works on the windows platform.

Hi Karen:
Thanks for the info, but I have the latest version (3.2.41) and the latest Daily Build and am having the same problem. The status bar goes through its paces and stays at "Astronomy submission ####### processing...", then after a few minutes starts over
and again, goes through all of that several times and finally "Plate solve failed".
