multi-aperture overlay on Mac

Hello,

For an undergrad in my class (using Mojave 10.14.06), when they enter multi-aperture photometry and place apertures, neither the sky annulus nor any information (target or reference #, counts or magnitude...) show up as overlays.

Is there a setting that governs whether these overlays are displayed?

Yes, those display items can be controlled in the icons above the image display:
