I've been encountering problems with saving the work in AIJ. I chose to save the work using Multi Plot Main > Files > Save all (with options), but when I check the file where I saved the work, there seems to be nothing. May you please advise me to solve this problem?
Also, when I open the saved work, I use Multi Plot Main > Files > Open table and plot configuration from file. In this case, the apertures doesn't open together: is there a way to open up all the same work with all the same configurations I used for one data set? Lastly, I was wondering if I were to delete a comparison star (because it is has a inconsistent flux) would it be correct to use the multi-plot reference star settings and uncheck the box under the comparison (which makes it to change from C3 to T3)? Also, if I were to add a completely new comparison star (and place an aperture for the new comparison star), how can I do so? Thank you so much! Clear Skies! |

Save All problem: Make sure the FULL directory/folder name and file
name do not contain any dots ".", except for the dot separating the
file name from the file suffix. Also, make sure the base filename is
different from the name of the directory that contains the files (if
this is the case, the files will be saved one directory level above
- a bug). If neither of these solve your problem, please send the
exact FULL name of the folder where you are attempting to save the
files, and the full file name of the measurements table you are
trying to save.
File Opening: The measurements table and plotcfg will open together as you mentioned (as long as the base names are the same and they are in the same folder), but the aperture file must currently be opened separately. The easiest way to open the measurements table and plot config is to drag the measurements table file from an OS window onto the one of the Multi-Aperture set up panels (the plotcfg will also open if it exists). The easiest way to open a apertures file is to drag it and drop it on a displayed image stack. We will look into adding the capability to open all three files when the measurements table is opened. Removing a comparison star from the ensemble: Change the Cxx aperture to a Txx aperture in the Reference Star panel, as you mentioned (while placing apertures, hold <Shift> and then click in an aperture to change it from T to C or C to T). To add a new reference star that wasn't measured as a T or C during a photometry run, you'll unfortunately need to re-run full photometry for all apertures. It's best to select all comp stars that might be reasonable on your first run and then change them to Ts if they are "bad" so that they are no longer in the ensemble. If you do need to re-run photometry, be sure to enable "Use previous n apertures..." in the multi-plot main panel. Then when you place apertures, simply add any additional stars that are needed as potential comp stars. Karen On 4/3/2021 10:28 PM, dlagoeka0217 [via

I really appreciate you for reply on the save all problem, file opening, and comparison star add and remove!
The "save all process" works well now, and I see how the file opening and adding star works! Thank you so much! |
