WCS Troubleshooting

James
Hi!

I've been starting to use AstroImageJ for my photometry and data processing. Unfortunately, after subtracting the darks and dividing out the flats, I try to plate solve the entire time series I have (about 30 slices) and I keep getting the error that it timed out. I tried it with just one image and it still did the same. When I check my account on astrometry.net it successfully solved it and completed the job. I have read the other WCS post and tried the suggested solutions but have been unsuccessful in fixing this issue. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi James,

Okay, that's good on the version number.

I've checked a few test plate solves here and although it takes the astrometry.net server nearly a minute to accept a new connection, the plate solves happen within a couple of seconds after the connection is set up.

Are your images small enough to email? If so, could you send an example image to karenacollins atat outlook dotdot com? If they are too large, do you have a way to post an image via dropbox, etc., so that I can download for testing?
