This post was updated on .
After performing Multi-Aperture (MA) photometry on a series of images, magnitude and/or astrometric data from the measurements table can be formatted by AIJ to submit to the Minor Planet Center. To report magnitude, follow the steps in the post below to create target star magnitudes based on reference star apparent magnitudes:

http://astroimagej.1065399.n5.nabble.com/Enter-apparent-magnitude-of-reference-stars-to-calculate-magnitude-of-target-stars-requires-AIJ-v3-1-td236.html

Then follow the directions below to create the text to email to the Minor Planet Center.

To create a Minor Planet Center formatted report, open the measurements table in Multi-plot (MP) and select Multi-plot_Main->File->'Create Minor Planet Center (MPC) format...'. The setup panel below will open.

Fill out the fields from the top of the panel down to "Acknowledgement Message" as specified on the minor planet center website at:
http://www.minorplanetcenter.net/iau/info/OpticalObs.html

Select the Julian date column (usually JD_UTC), the RA and Dec columns (Usually RA_Tn and DEC_Tn, where n is the aperture number for the target being reported).

To report apparent magnitude as calculated by AIJ at each epoch, select the appropriate magnitude column (usually Source_AMag_Tn) and select the appropriate filter in the 'Filter' box about 1/3 of the way down from the top of the panel.

To report a constant magnitude, select 'blank' for the JD UTC column, enter the constant magnitude number in the "Fixed Magnitude" box, and select the appropriate filter.

To report no magnitude data, select 'blank' for the filter.

When OK is clicked, a log panel will open with the formatted results. Copy and paste the lines from the log panel into your MPC submission email, or save the log data to a file to use the upload option.
