AIJ's Data Processor (DP) module was designed with "real time" mode as a key goal. This enables AIJ to read new images as they written to hard drive from the camera, calibrate them, run Multi-Aperture, and update the light curve plot as observions are progressing. To use "real time" mode, set up DP as normal to reduce your data and automatically run Multi-Aperture and Multi-Plot. The only difference need for real time processing is to set the"Polling Interval" at the bottom left of the DP panel to a non-zero value. A settings of 3 to 5 (seconds) works well. Then, once all images in a directory have been processed, AIJ/DP will continue to look for new ones at the specified polling interval.
