New design for aperture, annulus?

Perhaps I am the only one who doesn't know this, but after a few weeks break from observing I noticed that the familiar aperture and annulus design that is shown around stars is gone, and replaced with a simple circle (see attached photo).  Is that by design, or is my software screwing up?

Turn the annulus display icon back on above the image display (4th from the left in your screen grab).
