Whenever the Multi-Plot tool is opened, either by me or by Multi-Aperture, Java throws the following illegal argument exception in a separate window:
AIJ 5.3.4.02; ImageJ 1.54h2; Java 21.0.2 [64-bit]; Windows 11 10.0; 59MB of 25216MB (<1%) java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: (minimum <= value <= maximum) is false at java.desktop/javax.swing.SpinnerNumberModel.<init>(Unknown Source) at java.desktop/javax.swing.SpinnerNumberModel.<init>(Unknown Source) at Astronomy.MultiPlot_.createFitPanel(MultiPlot_.java:14262) at Astronomy.MultiPlot_.showMoreCurvesJPanel(MultiPlot_.java:11074) at Astronomy.MultiPlot_.showMainJPanel(MultiPlot_.java:10972) at Astronomy.MultiPlot_.finishSetup(MultiPlot_.java:1137) at Astronomy.MultiPlot_.finishSetup(MultiPlot_.java:1133) at Astronomy.MultiPlot_.makeDummyTable(MultiPlot_.java:1157) at Astronomy.MultiPlot_.findTables(MultiPlot_.java:1046) at Astronomy.MultiPlot_.run(MultiPlot_.java:1036) at ij.IJ.runUserPlugIn(IJ.java:244) at ij.IJ.runPlugIn(IJ.java:210) at ij.Executer.runCommand(Executer.java:156) at ij.Executer.run(Executer.java:74) at ij.IJ.run(IJ.java:326) at ij.IJ.run(IJ.java:337) at ij.macro.Functions.doRun(Functions.java:720) at ij.macro.Functions.doFunction(Functions.java:116) at ij.macro.Interpreter.doStatement(Interpreter.java:287) at ij.macro.Interpreter.doBlock(Interpreter.java:721) at ij.macro.Interpreter.runMacro(Interpreter.java:196) at ij.macro.MacroRunner.run(MacroRunner.java:161) at java.base/java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) I have been able to manage, but Multi-Plot is a very useful tool I would like to be able to utilize again. I have reinstalled both AstroImageJ and Java, and also surfed the web a bit for solutions, but no luck. |

It sounds like your preferences file has a corrupt settings (this happens from time to time, but we haven't been able to track down the reason). Try resetting your preferences by going to Multi-aperture Main > File > Restore all default AIJ preferences.
If you are unable to get the Multi-Aperture panel to open because of the exception, you'll need to first close AIJ, and then navigate to the following file and rename or delete it. Then restart AIJ and try Multi-Aperture again. C:\Users\<uername>\.astroimagej\AIJ_Prefs.txt Unfortunately all of your previous settings will be lost when AIJ_Prefs.txt has been renamed or deleted. We'll also try to put code into the next build to avoid this issue. Karen |

Restoring the AIJ preferences to default did the trick. Thank you for the help.

Although we have been unable to reproduce this issue, we have implemented an attempted fix in v5.4.2.00. Run update AIJ to get the new version. If you see this or a similar problem with prefs again running v5.4.2.00 or later, please report back on the forum.
