Issue Loading FITS Header Data into DP Coordinate Converter in AstroImageJ

quiniruizluque
Hi,

I’m currently working with some exoplanet transit images I captured last year using CCDCiel. I’m trying to load the target coordinates and observatory location into the DP Coordinate Converter directly from the FITS header, but I’m running into some issues.

I’ve already configured the appropriate FITS header keywords under General FITS Header Settings:

These headers are indeed present in my science images:

However, when I try to load this information from the header:

…the DP Coordinate Converter does not populate the fields as expected:

Am I missing a step, or could there be an issue with how the header keywords are defined or accessed?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Best regards,
Joaquin

Is the screenshot of your DP Coordinate Converter panel taken after you have clicked the Start button or before? The coordinates are only read after processing is started. If the values do not show even after you click Start, could you please email me (at the address on the main user forum page) an example image that is not working for you? If an image is too large to email, user google drive or similar and send me a link or post it here.

Thanks for supporting the User Forum.

Hi Karen,

The screenshot I shared was taken before I clicked the Start button. Once the images are processed, the coordinates will populate automatically.

Thanks for your help!
