Debayering fits images in AstroimageJ?

magnusl
Hi!

Is there a way to debayer fits images in AstroimageJ? I found some links to old plugins when searching, but none that works.

And while I am asking: is there progress on the setting Fits keywords so VPhot will recognize images as calibrated?

Hi Magnus,

The option at Image_Display > Color > Debayer Image should do what you need. Unfortunately, I haven't had time to add the Vphot keyword yet.

Is there a way to debayer multiple DSLR images.  I can split out the green from a single image but would like to split a time series and then save green only.  I suspect while not work with virtual stack?
thanks

Hi Bryan,

It looks like the ImageJ plugin that the debayer functionality is based on is not "stack aware", as you suspected. Since it would require a rework of plugin code, we are unable to provide a quick fix, but I can see how this would be a useful AIJ feature, so I have added it to the feature request list so that it will be reworked at some point.
