AIJ crash - MacOS Intel

Gael292929
Hi there,

I started using AIJ some weeks ago and I face repetitive problem.
Every 2 days or so (sometime less) I cannot launch AIJ and I have to reinstall it.
I am using a Mac Intel computer (Sonoma 14.7).
Does anyone have a clue about what's going on?

Regards.

We believe we have a fix for this, but it current is still in final development. We'll post back here when a new installation package is available.

Hello,

This the error message I just got when I tried to launch the app from the terminal (open -a AstroImageJ.app):

The application /Applications/AstroImageJ.app cannot be opened for an unexpected reason, error=Error Domain=RBSRequestErrorDomain Code=5 "Launch failed." UserInfo={NSLocalizedFailureReason=Launch failed., NSUnderlyingError=0x6000001d40f0 {Error Domain=NSPOSIXErrorDomain Code=153 "Unknown error: 153" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Launchd job spawn failed}}}

And I forgot to mention I face the same issue for both Intel and ARM processors.

Hi Gaël,

This problem should be fixed after installing the appropriate v5.4.1.00 installation package for your hardware from the UofL website:
https://www.astro.louisville.edu/software/astroimagej/installation_packages

Note: Using the update feature within AIJ will not resolve the problem. You must perform a new installation using the appropriate dmg file from the install package website. After the new install is performed, you can again use the update feature for future updates.

Please let us know whether this fixes the problem on your computers.
